Cub Scout Pack 500

Cub Scout Pack 500 offers a year-round adventure-based program designed to offer and encourage effective character, citizenship, and physical fitness for youth in Kindergarten to Fifth Grade.

In addition to camping, Scouts and adult leaders enjoy activities such as hiking, target-shooting, visits to military bases, and more while accommodating the needs of today’s busy families.

Cub Scout Den Meetings are held every Monday Evening at 7:00pm at Wake Forest United Methodist Church at 905 South Main Street in Wake Forest, NC.

What is Cub Scouting?

Cub Scouting is fun! No matter what grade you are in, kindergarten through fifth, it can be a blast. Do you like to learn by doing? This is just the place. You can learn to tie knots, set up a tent, and shoot a bow and arrow (archery). Have you ever cooked a meal on a campfire? Sent a secret code to a buddy? Built a birdhouse? Played Ultimate? Hiked?

Earn cool belt loops, pins and patches for doing these things in Cub Scouts!

As a Cub Scout, you will be part of your own Pack. The Pack is divided into smaller groups called Dens. All of the Cub Scouts in your Den are in the same grade and may even go to the same school.

About Us

Cub Scout Pack 500 of Wake Forest, NC includes boys and girls in Kindergarten (Lions) to 5th Grade (Arrow of Lights). The Pack has Pack Meetings 4-5x’s a year and the Dens meet almost every Monday during our “Cub Year” from August-May (Kindergarten Lions meet every other Monday). We also hold fun Pack outings and events at least once a month!

We are blessed to have the support and backing of Wake Forest Kiwanis Club and we are grateful to Wake Forest United Methodist Church who helps our Pack grow by providing facilities.

Of course, you can’t have a Pack without an awesome group of leaders- all volunteers with a primary goal of making sure your Cub has FUN!
